SHERMAN, Texas – The Austin College women's soccer team closed out its home portion of the 2016 schedule with a 0-0 double overtime draw against the University of Dallas on Friday evening. The 'Roos are now 3-11-2 overall and 1-8-2 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Both teams had several strong chances throughout but neither team was able to break through, as each side put multiple shots on target throughout. Austin College nearly got on the board five minutes into the second half, but a header by Sarah Battles hit the crossbar. The 'Roos got another strong look in overtime, when Victoria Rutherford's shot sailed just high of the bar.

Austin College dominated much of the action, out-shooting the Crusaders 29-13 in the match. Laura McGee made four saves for the 'Roos to earn the clean sheet. Austin College finishes up the season next weekend when they travel to Centenary.

Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
