The Austin College women's soccer team squared things up late but Texas Lutheran answered with a goal in the 75th minute to hand the 'Roos a 2-1 loss on Sunday.

The Austin College women's soccer team squared things up late but Texas Lutheran answered with a goal in the 75th minute to hand the 'Roos a 2-1 loss on Sunday. The 'Roos are now 2-10-2 overall and 1-6-1 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

After a scoreless first half, Texas Lutheran got on the board in the 55th minute on a goal by Sioned Kirkpatrick, but in the 69th minute of action Anessa Tomblin found Ashley Rice for the equalizer. The goal was Rice's team-best fourth score of the season.

However, things wouldn't remain level for long as Kirkpatrick scored her second goal of the game to put the Bulldogs on top 2-1, and Austin College was unable to counter. TLU used a 27-11 shot advantage in the match, with Austin College keeper Laura McGee making eight saves in the loss.
