The University of Texas-Tyler scored four first half goals and Austin College was never able to climb out of that hole, falling 5-0 on Friday night in Tyler. The 'Roos fall to 0-2 overall with the loss.
The Patriots got on the board in the third minute of action and added another goal in the 11th minute, adding two more goals in the 27th and 30th minutes to go into the half leading 4-0. Austin College was held without a shot attempt in the opening frame, and finished the game being out-shot 35-3 in the match.
Laura McGee made 10 saves in net for the 'Roos, who return home on Sunday to host Concordia University-Texas at 3:00 p.m.
