'Roo Women's Soccer Topped in SCAC Quarterfinals

The Austin College women's soccer team jumped out to a 1-0 lead at halftime but two second half goals for Dallas led to a 2-1 loss to the Crusaders in the SCAC Quarterfinals. The 'Roos end the season with an overall record of 6-13-1.

The first tally of the game came in the 44th minute of action, when Hannah Poenisch scored off of a corner kick with assists going to Maddy Millender and Sydney Redding, and the 'Roos carried that lead into the second half. However, the Crusaders managed to find the net in the 61st minute of action to equalize, and Dallas scored what would prove to be the game winner in the 79th minute.

Austin College held a 23-16 shot advantage over the fifth-seeded Crusaders, but it was not enough for the fourth-seeded 'Roos to come back and square things up. Emily Brockette made two saves for Austin College in the loss.
