Southwestern Tops 'Roo Women's Soccer
The Austin College women's soccer team got a goal from Lauren Scott but it was not enough to overcome Southwestern as the 'Roos fell 3-1 on Friday night.

The Austin College women's soccer team got a goal from Lauren Scott but it was not enough to overcome Southwestern as the 'Roos fell 3-1 on Friday night. The 'Roos are now 2-7 overall and 1-2 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with the loss.
Southwestern got on the board first in the 35th minute and pushed its lead to 2-0 in the 62nd minute, but Scott tallied her fifth goal of the season on an assist from Mandi Sherwood two minutes later to cut the margin to 2-1. However, the Pirates would add another goal in the 70th minute to put the game away.
Franchesca Lozoya made five saves in goal for the 'Roos, who were out-shot 14-6 in the match.
