Three From 'Roo Hoops Earn All-SCAC

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College women's basketball players Sarah Putnicki, Natalie McCoy, and Kacie West were each named All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference performers for their play during the 2021-22 season, the league office has announced.

Putnicki, a freshman forward from Gunter, was a second team All-SCAC selection as well as being named to the All-Freshman Team. Putnicki averaged 8.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks-per-game during her first season with the 'Roos. She shot 39.6% the field and 57.9% from the free throw line.

McCoy, a senior guard from San Antonio, was a third team All-SCAC pick after averaging 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists-per-game. McCoy shot 39.1% from the field and 38.4% from three, while also knocking down 74% of her free throw attempts. She also had 1.4 steals-per-game.

West, a senior guard from Sulphur, Okla., led the 'Roos with 12.3 points-per-game while shooting 37.2% from the field and 40.3% from three point range. She also made 78.9% from the free throw line, and grabbed 3.8 rebounds to go along with 1.5 steals-per-game.
