SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College women's basketball player Kacie West has been named to the D3Hoops.com National Team of the Week, the organization has announced. West is one of five players across the country to have been selected for recognition for the past week of competition.

West, a senior from Sulphur, Okla., averaged 17.0 points to help Austin College improve to 4-0 on the year as the 'Roos swept a pair of games with Southwestern University. West shot 50% from the field and 44.4% from three-point range over the course of the weekend, scoring 14 points in the first matchup of the weekend before pouring in 20 points in the team's win on Saturday. West also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals-per-game while committing just one turnover while playing all but seven minutes in the two contests.

So far this season, West is second in scoring for the 'Roos, averaging 14.0 points-per-game. Last year, she was a first team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference selection. West is the third player in Austin College women's basketball history to receive D3Hoops.com Team of the Week recognition, joining former SCAC Player of the Year recipients Katy Williams and Bryce Frank.
