Frank Named SCAC Woman of the Year Award Finalist

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Austin College women's basketball player Bryce Frank has been selected as one of five finalists for the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Woman of the Year Award, the league office has announced.

Frank, a four-year letter-winner for the 'Roo women's basketball teams, posted one of the most storied careers in program history and led Austin College to a pair of SCAC regular season championships during her time in Sherman. The forward from Granbury was a three-time first team All-SCAC pick, in addition to being named the conference's Newcomer of the Year as a freshman as well as the SCAC Player of the Year following both her junior and senior campaigns. She is one of only four players in conference history to surpass both 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, and was named a first team All-American after the 2018-19 season.

Frank ranks among the top 10 in conference history in both career scoring and rebounding, and broke the SCAC records for single-season and career double-doubles. This past season, she led the nation with 22 double-doubles. Along with her success on the court, Frank has twice been named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll, graduating with a 3.19 grade-point-average with a degree in public health. She has also been active with Toys for Tots as well as Special Olympics, this this summer will begin a tenure with the Peace Corps, teaching science to children in Tanzania.
