SHERMAN, Texas – Austin College women's basketball player Bryce Frank has been selected as a 1st Team All-South Region performer after a stellar season in which she was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year and guided the 'Roos to a 20-6 overall record.

Frank, a junior forward from Granbury, tied with Trinity's Micah Weaver for SCAC Player of the Year honors and was named 1st Team All-SCAC after putting together one of the best single seasons in program history. Frank finished second in the conference with 18.2 points-per-game while also leading the SCAC in rebounding for the second year in a row, pulling down 10.3 rebounds-per-game. She also led the SCAC with a 53.4% field goal percentage, in addition to finishing fifth in assists-per-game with 3.2 per-game.

Frank was named the SCAC Player of the Week four times, in addition to being named to the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week twice. She was also tabbed by the US Basketball Writers Association as the National Player of the Week after the 'Roos stunned Washington University-St. Louis on the road in December.

Frank was one of two SCAC players to earn All-South Region honors, alongside Weaver, who was also a 1st Team selection. Players chosen to the D3hoops.com All-Region team are eligible for All-American selection. The men's All-American team will be announced at the end of this week, in conjunction with the Division III men's championships, and the women's will be announced in the week following the Division III women's semifinals.

This is the 17th year D3hoops.com has named an All-Region team and this year's All-America team will be the 21st annual All-American selections. The D3hoops.com All-American teams, along with those of the respective coaches' associations, are the only ones recognized in the NCAA record book.
