The Austin College women's basketball team shot 52.8% from the field as a team, but it was not enough to top Texas Lutheran as the Bulldogs handed the 'Roos an 89-77 loss on Friday night. The loss dropped the 'Roos to 8-10 overall and 3-5 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

The 'Roos turned the ball over 11 times in the first half and the Bulldogs used a 5-to-1 edge in three pointers to build a 41-32 lead at halftime, and Austin College could never get closer than nine points in the game's final 12 minutes of action. Kendall Heitmeier hit 9-of-12 shots overall and 2-of-2 from long distance to finish with 22 points to lead the 'Roos.

Christina Kime added 13 points and eight assists, and Brianna Harvey scored nine points while grabbing 11 rebounds. Kali Vittallo hit 3-of-4 three pointers to finish with nine points.
