Kime Leads Balanced Attack in Win over Colorado College

Christina Kime and Erin Riley each scored 12 points and the Austin College women's basketball team put 11 players in the scoring column in a 78-64 road victory over Colorado College. With the win, the 'Roos snap a four game skid and improve to 6-8 overall and 1-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

The 'Roos fell in a 7-2 hole early but got a spark off the bench from Chrissy Ray, Katie Gowdy, and Kali Vittallo, who fueled a 15-1 run that put Austin College ahead 17-8 with 12:25 left in the opening half. Paige Picciotti added six points down the stretch to send Austin College into halftime leading 40-27.

The lead grew to as much as 16 three times in the second half, including on a three pointer from Kime with 38 seconds left to make it a 78-62 game. Kime scored 10 of her 12 points in the second half, and also added seven rebounds and five assists. Riley grabbed six boards and added two assists and two steals, and Brianna Harvey chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds in the victory.
