The 'Roos nearly got on the board early in what became a pitcher's duel, but after advancing to third, Tori Fowler was thrown out in a close play at the plate to end the first inning and keep the game scoreless. Neither team managed to get on the scoreboard until the third, when the Bulldogs pushed a pair of runs across to grab a 2-0 lead. Taylor Vannett drove in the first run for TLU, and later came around to score on a throwing error.
