SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College softball team fell 11-3 on the road at Trinity University on Sunday, as the 'Roos and Tigers wrapped up their three-game Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series.

Lyndsey Busch put the 'Roos on the scoreboard in the top of the first when she drove in Elizabeth Preston, but the Tigers responded with three runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a 3-1 lead. Another run came across in the second to give the Tigers a 4-1 lead, but Austin College would score the next two with Carrie Johnson driving in Preston in the third and Hailie Swiatkowski scoring on a wild pitch in the fourth to cut it to a 4-3 game.

The Tigers extended their lead to 5-3 in the bottom of the fourth, and put the game away with consecutive three-run innings in the fifth and sixth to make it an 11-3 game, cutting the game short via the run-rule. Alexus Johnson took the loss for Austin College, giving up eight runs on 12 hits in 4.2 innings of action. Preston was 2-for-3 with two runs and three stolen bases to lead the 'Roos offensively.
