SHREVEPORT, La. - The Austin College softball team fell behind 3-0 early and was unable to fully recover, falling 7-2 at Centenary College on Friday evening in conference competition.

The Ladies pushed three runs across in the bottom of the first, all coming from a home run swing by Isabelle Dominguez. Dominguez would finish the game 2-for-3 to lead Centenary. The margin remained 3-0 until the top of the fourth, when an error opened the door for a run by Lyndsey Busch, and the 'Roos made it 3-2 in the fifth on an RBI double by Chyrsi Hemby. However, Centenary got that run back in the bottom half of the inning and tacked on three more in the sixth to make it a 7-2 final.

Austin College was limited to three hits in the game, with Hemby and Busch each going 1-for-3 to lead the way. Hailie Swiatkowski took the loss for the 'Roos, giving up four runs on six hits in 5.0 innings of work, while Anna Scarbrock ot the win for the Ladies, going the distance while allowing two runs and striking out six batters.
