The Austin College softball team fell 4-0 to the University of Dallas on Saturday in the elimination round of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament. The 'Roos finish the season with an overall record of 18-24.
The 'Roos and Crusaders took a scoreless game into the fourth, when Dallas got a solo homer to make it a 1-0 game. That remained the score until the top of the sixth, when the Crusaders took advantage of three Austin College errors to plate three more and make it a 4-0 game. All three runs in the inning were unearned.
Mallory Rossmann had a pair of hits to lead the 'Roo offense, as Austin College was limited to five hits in the game. Sophia Hernandez took the loss, surrendering four runs, only one earned, on six hits in 5.2 innings of work.
