
'Roos Wrap Up Weekend with Pair of Victories
WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Austin College men's water polo team ended its weekend trip to Pennsylvania strong, picking up a pair of wins over Wheaton and host school Washington & Jefferson on Sunday morning. The 'Roos are now 6-5 overall after winning three of four at the MPSF East event.

The 'Roos got the day off to a strong start with a dominant 26-8 victory over Wheaton in which Aidan Wade set a new program record with 10 goals, breaking the previous mark set by his older brother, former 'Roo Max Wade. Wade was perfect on his shot attempts, going 10-for-10 in the victory. Sebastian Scheier had a big game for the 'Roos as well, notching four goals, and Greyson Gaworecki added three. Nic Ruggiero chipped in two tallies, while Gabriel Daniels, Preston Fiala, Josh Nelms, Nick Bates, Jack Stack, Colin Stewart, and Andrew Galt all had one goal apiece. Galt added a team-best four assists in the victory.
Austin College took a 6-3 lead after the first quarter, and used a 7-0 second quarter to head into halftime on top 13-3. The 'Roos then poured in eight goals in the third to make it 21-6, before out-scoring Wheaton 5-2 in the last frame to make it a 26-8 final.
In the team's second game of the day, the 'Roos fell behind 3-1 after the first quarter and trailed 5-4 at halftime, but Austin College out-scored Washington & Jefferson 4-0 in the third period to surge ahead 8-5 before holding on for a 10-8 victory.
Wade once again led the 'Roos with three goals, and Ruggiero added a pair of tallies in the victory. Carlos Camarena, Adrian Halberg, Scheier, Stack, and Galt each found the back of the cage once to help Austin College secure the win.
