Henley, Salyer Earn Academic All-District

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College men's tennis players Luke Henley and Trey Salyer have been selected as Academic All-District picks for their outstanding performances both athletically and academically.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Henley, a senior from Groesbeck, served as the team captain for the 'Roos this year and earned his spot on the Academic All-District team thanks to a grade-point-average of 3.67 with a major in public health.
Salyer, a junior from Frisco, earned his Academic All-District recognition by virtue of a 3.78 grade-point-average with a major in history, while also joining Henley as one of the team's top performers in both singles and doubles competition this season.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 4 (women) and June 5 (men).
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
