'Roo Men Fall to Trinity in SCAC Tournament

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Austin College men's tennis team fell 6-0 against Trinity University in the opening around of the SCAC Championships hosted by Southwestern on Friday, bringing the team's season to a conclusion.

The number one team of Tate Nelson and Trey Salyer were defeated 8-0 in doubles action, while Neel Gautam and AJ Wueste fell 8-2 on line two. In line three competition, Luke Henley and Yudai Abe were topped 8-1 as the Tigers took an early 3-0 advantage in the match.

In singles play, Abe fell 0-6, 0-6 playing line six, while Henley also dropped his line five match by those same scores. Gautam competed at line four, dropping a 0-6, 1-6 match as Trinity clinched the opening round showdown and advanced to the next round. Salyer, Nelson, and Wueste saw their matches on lines one through three, respectively, go unfinished with scores of 2-6 for Salyer, 0-6, 0-3 for Nelson, and 0-6, 2-4 for Wueste.
