'Roos Fall to Colorado College on Senior Day

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up the regular season against Colorado College on Sunday, with the men falling 9-6 while the women were bested 6-0 by the Tigers.

The doubles teams of Trey Salyer and Tate Nelson, as well as Neel Gautam and AJ Wueste battled at numbers one and two, respectively, but each pairing fell 8-5. Luke Henley and Yudai Abe competed on line three, dropping an 8-0 match at that position. 

On the women's side, Sierra Thomas and Bailey Standokes dropped an 8-0 match at number one doubles, while Karina Alvarez and Cynthia Zapata were also topped 8-0 playing flight two. Standokes and Thomas each dropped 0-6, 1-6 decisions on lines one and two, while Alvarez and Zapata fell by scores of 0-6, 0-6 on lines three and four, respectively.

In singles action on the men's side, Salyer fell 2-6, 0-6 playing line one while Nelson dropped a 3-6, 1-6 line two match. Wueste was topped 0-6, 1-6 on line three, and Gautam dropped a 1-6, 2-6 match on line four. Henley was defeated 1-6, 1-6 on line five, and Abe rounded out the action with a 0-6, 0-6 decision on line six.
