Men's Tennis Blanked by Texas Wesleyan

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision against visiting Texas Wesleyan on Saturday. That brings the 'Roos to 3-8 overall on the season as they head into their regular season finale against Texas-Dallas next Sunday.

The 'Roos dropped their three doubles matches against Texas Wesleyan to open things up, with the pair of Brett O'Brien and Preston Spivey falling 8-2 on line one while Calum Robe and Tate Nelson were topped 8-3 playing flight two. Joseph Carrillo and William Dixon dropped an 8-1 match at flight three doubles.

O'Brien lost at line one singles by scores of 2-6, 2-6, and Spivey dropped a 1-6, 3-6 decision on line two. Robe fell on line three, retiring after falling 3-6 to open things up, and Carrillo and Cochran each lost 0-6, 0-6 on lines four and six, respectively. Nelson dropped a 2-6, 1-6 match at line five to round out the day's scoring.
