Men's Tennis Drops Road Match at ETBU

MARSHALL, Texas - The Austin College men's tennis team fell 7-2 in a road match at East Texas Baptist University on Friday, bringing the 'Roos to 3-3 on the year.

The 'Roos picked up one win in doubles and another in singles action, with Joseph Carrillo going 2-0 to lead Austin College. Carrillo teamed with Tate Nelson to earn an 8-6 win at number two doubles, and later won 6-2, 6-2 playing line four singles. Brett O'Brien and Preston Spivey were edged 8-6 at number one doubles, and O'Brien fell 6-2, 1-6, 8-10 at number one singles. 

William Dixon and Matthew Cochran fell 8-2 in number three doubles competition, while Spivey lost 1-6, 0-6 at number two singles and Nelson dropped a 2-6, 0-6 decision at number three. Cochran was 2-6, 1-6 playing number five, and Storm Simonin fell 0-6, 3-6 at number six singles.
