Men's Tennis Falls to St. Thomas

HOUSTON, Texas - The Austin College men's tennis team fell 7-2 at the University of St. Thomas on Sunday as the 'Roos wrapped up their weekend with a 1-1 record in a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contests.

The doubles team of Brett O'Brien and Preston Spivey one on line one by a score of 8-5, and O'Brien battled to a 5-7, 6-3, 12-10 victory at flight one singles. The 'Roos fell at lines two and three in doubles action, with Calum Robe and Tate Nelson dropping a 1-8 decision and Joseph Carrillo and William Dixon falling 2-8. In singles competition, Spivey fell 2-6, 2-6 at line two, while Nelson dropped a 4-6, 1-6 line three match. 

Matthew Cochran fell at line four singles by scores of 1-6, 0-6, and Carrillo dropped a 0-6, 2-6 decision at line five. Storm Simonin battled but came up short at line six, falling 3-6, 6-7 to round out all of the action.
