Men's Tennis Dominates McMurry 8-1
'Roos win their third in a row and move to 8-3 on the year
SHERMAN, Tex. - After more than a decade of losses to McMurry, the Austin College Men's Tennis Team defeated the WarHawks 8-1 at the Elizabeth Russell Tennis Center.
The 'Roos swept the doubles competition with each tandem winning by at least 1 break of serve. The success of the first half of the match would carry into the singles portion as the 'Roos would take 5 of 6 before the day's end.
Each Kangaroo Men's Tennis Player would win in straight-set victories over their WarHawk counterparts. Preston Glasscock had the most polarizing result of the day; taking the first set in a tiebreaker, and then earning a 6-0 bagel in the second at Line 5.
The 8-1 team victory comes after consecutive years of 9-0 and 7-2 defeats in 2015 and 2016.
Austin College returns for their Senior Day match against the Yellow Jackets of LeTourneau University at 3pm today.
