SHERMAN, Tex. - Under the lights on Fan Appreciation Day, the Austin College Kangaroos outlasted a brilliant fight from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire BluGolds 5-4 a the Elizabeth Russell Tennis Center.

  The 'Roos started up 2-1 after doubles competition.  Kenneth Hardy and Siddharth Kortikere continued their stellar spring, racking up an 8-5 victory at Line 1.  Erik Meendsen and Josh Granberry struck with a dominant 8-3 win on the 2nd doubles court.

  Granberry continued his winning ways in singles, playing his best tennis of the season in a 7-6 (7-0), 6-2 performance at the top singles spot.

  Hardy struggled to find his footing in the first set against a big serving opponent at Line 2, but managed to pick up several breaks of serve to put the 'Roos one match away from victory.

  It would be Freshman Pieter Jon Cabato who would clean up the win, clinching victory with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at Line 6 as rain began to sprinkle on the courts.

  Austin College returns to the courts on Saturday, March 25th against the WarHawks of McMurry University.  First serve is scheduled for 9am.
