'Roos Roll over Gents 9-0
AC claims first Division III victory, first SCAC victory, and starts first winning streak of the season with win over Centenary
SHREVEPORT, LA – The Austin College Men's Tennis Squad picked up their first 9-0 victory of the year over SCAC opponent Centenary College.
The Men got out to a strong start in doubles play over the 'Gents, sweeping doubles for only the second time this year while dropping only two total games. Ambulo/Meendsen notched their second win this season on the doubles court together, but look to be a new and improved team hitting their stride with conference championships fast approaching.
Not much changed for the 'Roos in singles competition as the 3-0 lead after doubles play translated into the second phase of the match. Four Kangaroo Men's Tennis Players registered wins without dropping a game, and Cedric Ambulo picked up his second win of the year 6-1, 6-3.
