Austin College Continues to Perform Well at SCAC Championships
GARLAND, Texas - Day two of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships saw the Austin College men's team wrap up the day in fifth place overall while the women currently rank fourth, as the men closed the evening with 101 total points and the women ended with 118 at the midway point of the meet.

The 'Roo men scored their first points of the evening in the 500 freestyle, with Theo Rogers clocking a time of 5:10.13 for 16th place in the event, while Tatyana Arizmendi earned 16th place points in the 200 individual medley to get the women on the board, coming in with a time of 2:22.02.
On the men's side, Colin Stewart placed 15th in that event, touching the wall with a time of 1:59.60, and Lexy Hulse and Sofia Guzman came in 15th and 16th, respectively, in the women's 50 freestyle with times of 25.69 and 26.19 in the race.
The quartet of Arizmendi, Hulse, Joslyn Dimitri, and Lola Barcus-Schafer scored fifth place points in the 400 medley relay, clocking a time of 4:15.45, and the men also took fifth in that race as the team of Stewart, Rogers, Preston Fiala, and Kamil Murugan came in with a time of 3:35.86 in the final event of the evening.
