SHREVEPORT, La. - The Austin College men's and women's swim teams defeated Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Centenary College on Saturday, with the men winning 138-38 while the women topped the Ladies 91-83.

JonAustin Blaine, Alex Lai, David Stanford, and Gabriel Fulton got the men started strong with a win in the 200 medley relay, coming in with a time of 1:49.47. Sean Cookson added an individual victory in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:00.83, and Sammi Thiele and Becca Tobias each added victories for the women in the 50 breaststroke and 100 butterfly, respectively. Thiele came in with a time of 32.91, and Tobias finished her win with a time of 1:06.56. 

Lai earned a win in the 100 butterfly on the men's side with a time of 55.97, and Thiele won the women's 50 freestyle with a time of 26.07. Jonas Eaton won that same event on the men's side with a time of 22.99. Thiele picked up another win for the women in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:11.90, and Abbi Reece took first in the 50 butterfly with a time of 30.04. Eaton gave the men another victory in the 100 freestyle, touching with a time of 51.04, and Tim Smith won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:19.44 to wrap up the meet.
