'Roo Men Take Fourth, Women Fifth at SCAC Swim Championships

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College men's swimming and diving team finished fourth at the 2020 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championship Meet, while the women placed fifth at the event.

Colton Baker earned All-Conference honors for the men in the 3-meter diving event, finishing in third place among the event's competitors. Ethan Nguyen earned his fourth All-SCAC honors of the week with a second place finish and NCAA B-cut time of 2:04.59 in the 200 breaststroke. With his four All-Conference finishes, Nguyen breaks the previous program record of three All-SCAC finishes by an individual set by Chris Brown in 2018.

On the women's side, Chloe Hunt finished fifth in the 200 backstroke, coming in with a time of 2:12.86. Hunt, Claudia Theriot, Jade Kemp, and Sophie Garriga also finished fifth in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:49.65. The men's team also got a fourth place finish in the 200 butterfly from David Mowles, while Becca Tobias and Zuni Rubio finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the same event for the women.

Overall, the 'Roo men finish the meet with 357 points and the women finished with 268 points.
