Records Fall for 'Roo Men on Day One of SCAC Championship

THE COLONY, Texas - There were only two events on the first night of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championship but two program records have already fallen for the Austin College men's swimming and diving team.
The 'Roos opened up the 2018 Championship with a fourth place finish in the 200 medley relay, coming in with a time of 1:37.69, before breaking a pair of Austin College records in the 800 free relay. Chris Brown swam the first leg of the event in a time of 1:44.15, good for a new program record in the 200 free, while the entire relay team consisting of Brown, Jason Chen, Tyler Brown, and Collin Vu set another 'Roo record with a time of 7:12.81 overall. That time was good for fifth overall.
The 'Roos enter day two of the meet in fifth place with a total of 66 points. Thursday night's action kicks off at 6:00 p.m. at the Lewisville Eastside Aquatic Center.
