The Austin College men's swimming and diving team performed well at the Austin College Invite, placing second out of five teams with a total team score of 479.50, nearly 200 points better than the third place team.
The 'Roos got off to a fast start with a win in the 200 medley relay, with Chris Brown, Tyler Brown, Collin Vu, and Nick Cappellini coming in with a time of 1:42.38 to just edge out the team from Centenary. Tyler Brown followed with a second place finish in the 500 freestyle, and Chris Brown won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:04.34.
Vu brought home a first place finish in the 50 free with a time of 21.96, and added a second place finish in the 100 yard fly. Tyler Brown picked up a win in the 100 yard breaststroke, placing with a time of 1:02.95, and Chris Brown gave Austin College another first place finish in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 55.45. He added another first place finish in the 200 back, this time coming in with a time of 2:03.58.
The 'Roos capped off the day with a first place finish in the 200 free relay, with Chris Brown, Tyler Brown, Eric Brown, and Vu working together to win with a time of 1:32.37. The victory came by the slimmest of margins, with Vu touching just .02 seconds before the second place finishers from Centenary.
