The Austin College men's swimming and diving team had a strong showing at the Hendrix Invitational, placing third out of seven teams at the event.
The team of Chris Brown, Eric Brown, Tyler Brown, and Collin Vu got things off to a strong start with a second place finish in the 200 freestyle relay, coming in with a time of 1:30.96. Vu added a second place finish in the 50 free, touching with a time of 21.98, less than two tenths of a second behind the winner.
Colton Baker had another outstanding showing on the boards, winning the 1-meter event with a score of 156.15, and placing second in the 3-meter event with a score of 158.70. Vu returned to the pool for the 200 freestyle, finishing third with a time of 1:49.52, and Chris Brown took second in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:02.85. The 'Roos closed out the day with a third place finish in the 400 freestyle relay, with the team of Nic Cappellini, Tyler Brown, Chris Brown, and Vu placing with a time of 3:23.57.
