
Men's Swimming & Diving Defeats McMurry 137-65
Home duel victory for the 'Roos makes for a regular season sweep of the Warhawks
SHERMAN, Tex. - The Austin College Men's Swimming & Diving Team improves to 4-1 in 2015-16 with a home duel meet victory over SCAC Opponent McMurry University.
The 'Roos took the Freestyle events by storm with wins in the 50 yd (Erik Gentzel - 23.34) and the 200 yd (Tyler Brown - 1:51.02). In the 100 Yd Freestyle, Jake Cole (51.59) would barely out-touch Tyler Brown (51.83) for 1st place, and in the 500 Yd event, Collin Vu (5:30.49) and Aaron Rozneck (6:21.93) would finish 1-2.
The Kangaroos would take 1st in the 100-yd distances in Butterfly (Amit Pullarkat - 56.35), Backstroke (Erik Gentzel - 56.78), and Breaststroke (Josh Chanin - 1:08.44), and both the 200 yd Freestyle Relay (Vu, Cole, E. Brown, T. Brown - 1:32.51), and the 200 yd Medley Relay (Gentzel, Chanin, Pullarkat, Adams - 1:44.51).
Parker Adams stayed hot with another sweep of the 1 & 3-meter diving events (136.35 & 156.80).
Austin College is finished for the Month of December, but is back in the pool at home on Thursday, January 7th, 2016 vs. Simpson at 6:00pm.
