Men's Swimming & Diving Opens Season With Win at McMurry

ABILENE, Tex. - The Austin College Men's Swimming & Diving Team hit the pool for their first dual meet of the year and came home with a victory.

The Kangaroos swept the Freestyle events with Colin Vu winning the 1000-meter and 500-meter distances, Tyler Brown finishing first in the 200-meter and 100-meter distances, and Eric Brown claiming the 500-meter sprint.  Additionally, the 200-meter Freestyle relay team of Vu, E. Brown, T. Brown, and Erik Gentzel won with a time of 1:32.19.

Josh Chanin finished first for the 'Roos in two more events; claiming the 200-meter Individual Medley and 100-meter Breaststroke events.

Parker Adams performed like he was in mid-season form in the diving events, winning the 1-meter and 3-meter Diving competitions.

Combined with the Women's Score, the Austin College Kangaroos edged the McMurry University Warhawks 272-263, returning to Sherman 1-0 overall and 1-0 in the SCAC on the year.

AC returns to action at Home vs. Southwestern on November 7th.  The dual meet is set to begin at 1:00 PM.
