Men's Soccer Falls to Concordia-Moorhead
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Austin College men's soccer team out-shot Concordia-Moorhead but was unable to put one in the back of the net, as the 'Roos fell 2-0 in the team's season opener on Friday night on the campus of Colorado College.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Austin College men's soccer team out-shot Concordia-Moorhead but was unable to put one in the back of the net, as the 'Roos fell 2-0 in the team's season opener on Friday night on the campus of Colorado College.
The 'Roos owned a 9-to-7 shot advantage in the match, including 6-to-1 in the opening half, but Concordia-Moorhead managed to keep Austin College out of the net in the neutral site contest. Pierce Wear led the 'Roos with three shot attempts, putting a pair on target, but a first half own goal in the 25th minute put Austin College in a 1-0 deficit heading into the break. Concordia-Moorhead added an insurance goal in the 62nd minute off the foot of Rico Rolle, and the defense clamped down on the 'Roos the rest of the way.
Jayson Baldwin had four saves for Austin College, while Jensen Waltz had three for Concordia-Moorhead. Austin College will look to bounce back on Sunday when they face off against Fontbonne in another neutral site game at Colorado College.
