Three From Men's Soccer Earn All-SCAC

HOUSTON, Texas - Austin College men's soccer player Louis Catchpole was named second team All-Southern Collegiate Conference, while teammate Pierce Wear was a third team selection and Ben Schrib was named to the All-Freshman Team, the league office has announced.

Catchpole, a junior forward originally from Kent, England, finished second in the SCAC in goals scored with 14, while also leading the SCAC with 54 shot attempts and coming in second in total points with 30. His 14 goals are the most for a 'Roo men's soccer player since Philip Le scored 14 during the 2016 season.

Wear, a sophomore midfielder from North Richland Hills, ended the year tied for 13th in the conference with five goals scored and also tied for eighth with four assists. His 14 total points ranked him 14th in the SCAC, and he also tied for sixth in the conference with 37 shot attempts.

Schrib, a freshman defender from Richardson, started 15 of 16 games for the 'Roos this season, quickly establishing himself as one of the team's top defensive players. Schrib had one assist from his defensive position on his way to earning All-Freshman Team recognition.
