SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team came out strong and looked dangerous in the early going against SCAC foe Trinity on Sunday afternoon, but the Tigers began to take control as the game went on, handing the 'Roos a 4-0 defeat. The 'Roos are now 7-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

After playing nearly 30 minutes of scoreless soccer, the Tigers broke through in the 28th minute on a goal by Michael Meese to make it a 1-0 game, and Jack Downes would tally in the 37th minute to send Trinity into the half leading the 'Roos 2-0. Adam Knutson assisted on both first half goals for the Tigers, who added their third goal in the 71st minute of action with Hunter Cain finding the back of the net, while Luke Chandler scored the capper in the 88th minute to make it a 4-0 final.

Trinity held a 34-0 shot advantage in the game, with Austin College's early offensive efforts thwarted in the final third and the Tigers controlling possession for most of the second half. Everardo Garza had 12 saves in the loss for Austin College.
