Texas Lutheran Tops 'Roo Men

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team closed out its season against Texas Lutheran on Sunday, falling 6-0 to the visiting Bulldogs at Jerry Apple Stadium. The 'Roos wrap up their season with an overall record of 3-12-1 and a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference mark of 2-6.

Texas Lutheran got four first half goals from Luis Green, who finished five goals and an assist. Green found the net for his first goal just over two minutes in, and added another tally at the 9:09 mark. He would tack on his third goal in the 24th minute, and got another in the 39th minute of action to make it 4-0 at halftime.

That remained the score until the 61st minute, when Green found Marco Roman in front of the net for a goal to make it 5-0, and Green would add his fifth scored in the 83rd minute to make it a 6-0 final. The Bulldogs finished the match out-shooting the 'Roos 20-8, with Connor Tullis making three saves for Austin College while Caleb Weed had one stop for TLU.
