'Roo Men Drop Road Game at Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Austin College men's soccer team found itself down 3-0 and was never able to recover in a road match on Friday, falling 5-1 to the Tigers in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Colorado College got on the board just over four minutes into the game, with Alexander Ward finding the back of the net at the 4:09 mark. The Tigers added another tally from Connor Webster in the 19th minute to make it 2-0, and that's how things would stand heading into halftime. Colorado College finished the opening half with a 9-4 shot advantage.

The margin grew to 3-0 on a goal from Rex Karjian at the 55 minute mark, but Austin College got in the scoring column with the first career goal from Michael Valencia in the 64th minute of play. However, that's as close as the 'Roos would get, as Colorado College added two more goals in the 69th and 84th minutes to make it a 5-1 final.

Colorado College finished with a 23-7 shot advantage, and Connor Tullis made five saves in goal for the 'Roos.
