Texas Lutheran Topples 'Roo Men

SEGUIN, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 road contest at Texas Lutheran on Friday, with the Bulldogs jumping on top 2-0 in the opening half and holding off the 'Roos from there.

Luis Green got the scoring started for Texas Lutheran, finding the back of the net in the 6th minute of action. Green added a second goal at the 29:21 mark to make it 2-0, and that's where things would stand after the opening 45 minutes of play. The Bulldogs picked up their third goal of the game in the 62nd minute of action, with Austin College getting on the scoreboard four minutes later with a tally from Luke Keenan to cut it to a 3-1 game.

However, that's as close as things would get as neither team was able to find the back of the net in the game's final minutes. The Bulldogs finished the match with a 15-to-5 shot advantage, and Connor Tullis and Aaron Hoffman each made three saves for the 'Roos while splitting time in goal.
