No. 2 Trinity Too Much for 'Roo Men

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team fell 7-0 in a road contest against No. 2-ranked Trinity University on Friday, bringing the 'Roos to 2-9 overall and 0-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play this season.

Trinity put five goals on the board in the opening half and never looked back, limiting the 'Roos to four shot attempts in the match. The Tigers, meanwhile, fired 29 shots in the game, and were able to get on the board twice in the opening seven minutes of action. Joseph Kuri tallied at the 6:17 mark, and Hunter Cain found the net just 25 seconds later. The Tigers added another goal in the 30th minute off the foot of Connor Jones, and Cain scored again in the 36th minute. Trinity added on more goal in the opening half, with Michael Meese scoring in the 44th minute.

Tom Whitwell added a goal in the 58th minute to make it 6-0, and the Tigers got their final tally from Will Powell three minutes later to make it a 7-0 final. Connor Tullis made six saves for Austin College.
