Texas Lutheran Tops 'Roo Men's Soccer

SEGUIN, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team fell behind 3-0 in the opening half and was unable to recover, dropping a 4-0 decision on Friday evening at Texas Lutheran. The 'Roos are now 0-2 on the year.

It didn't take long for the Bulldogs to get on the board, with Luis Green finding the back of the net in the fourth minute of action. TLU would strike again shortly after, getting a goal from Nestor Ayala at the 6:09 mark of the opening half. That remained the score until the 38th minute, when Jared Esparza scored off of a free kick to make it a three goal margin heading into the break.

In the second half, Green added his second goal of the game in the 51st minute to make it 4-0, and that's how things would finish after 90 minutes. Texas Lutheran out-shot the 'Roos 19-11, with Austin College putting eight of those shot attempts on target but the 'Roos were unable to get on the board. Connor Tullis made seven saves for Austin College between the pipes.
