LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Austin College men's soccer player Juan Rodriguez has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office has announced.

Rodriguez, a senior goalkeeper from El Paso, was outstanding in the net for Austin College as the 'Roos went 1-0-1 over the weekend. Rodriguez logged 200 minutes in goal, surrendering just one goal in a 1-1 draw at LeTourneau, and earned a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory at East Texas Baptist. He had six saves against ETBU, and added four against LeTourneau. Rodriguez currently leads the SCAC with 22 saves on the year.
