Men's Soccer Opens Season with 1-0 Victory

The Austin College men's soccer team got off to a strong start to the season, getting a second half goal from Levin Dyson in a 1-0 victory over Spalding in a neutral site game in Danville, Kentucky. The 'Roos will be back in action tomorrow against Centre College as part of the Centre College Alumni Classic.

It was an evenly played game throughout, with Austin College firing 18 shots to Spalding's 15. After a scoreless first half, the 'Roos managed to break through when Thomas Quick found Dyson in the 54th minute of action for what would turn out to be the game-winning goal. Joseph Khalaf made four saves on his way to earning the clean sheet for Austin College.
