The Austin College men's soccer team earned a dramatic double overtime victory over Rhdoes on Saturday before falling 2-1 to Fontbonne on Sunday. The 'Roos are now 1-2 overall to open the season and will return home on Tuesday to take on Paul Quinn. 

In the game against Rhodes, the 'Roos and Lynx took a scoreless draw into the second overtime period, when Phillip Le found the net in the 116th minute to give Austin College the victory. The tally was the first of Le's young collegiate career.

On Sunday, Austin College struck first on a goal from Thomas Quick in the 17th minute of action but Fontbonne scored twice before halftime to take a 2-1 lead, and neither team would find the net in the second half of action. Joseph Khalaf made four second half saves but the 'Roos managed just three shot attempts after the break and were unable to equalize.
