Men's Soccer Closes Season with Draw at Dallas
The Austin College men's soccer team closed out its season with a 1-1 double overtime draw at the University of Dallas on Saturday, bringing the team's final overall record to 1-13-5, including a 1-10-3 mark in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

The Austin College men's soccer team closed out its season with a 1-1 double overtime draw at the University of Dallas on Saturday, bringing the team's final overall record to 1-13-5, including a 1-10-3 mark in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.
The 'Roos took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half on a goal by Roberto Varela in the 28th minute, but five minutes later the Crusaders drew a penalty kick and Matthew Wise managed to put his shot past Austin College keeper Andrew Celio to square things up. That would be the final tally of the game for either team.
Dallas held a 24-18 shot advantage in the game, including firing off 10 shots in the second overtime but Celio was able to make six saves to keep the teams even.
