'Roo Men's Soccer Falls to UMHB

The Austin College men's soccer team fell 4-1 on the road against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday night, dropping the 'Roos to 0-2-1 overall this season.

Austin College fell behind 2-0 in the opening half, as UMHB tallied in the 12th minute of action and added another score in the 41st minute. The lead grew to 3-0 early in the second half on a Caleb Latson goal in the 58th minute before the 'Roos got on the board in the 68th minute, with Garrett Matacale notching his first collegiate goal to make it 3-1. However, UMHB would add one more score eight minutes later to make it a 4-1 final.

Mary Hardin-Baylor owned a 12-5 shot advantage in the match, with Andrew Celio making three saves for the 'Roos and Javier Zaragoza making two stops for UMHB. Austin College will be looking to rebound and get into the win column on Sunday at Concordia-Texas.
