Men's Soccer Tops Centenary for First Win
The Austin College men's soccer team earned its first victory over the season with a 1-0 decision over Centenary on Wednesday night in Shreveport.

The Austin College men's soccer team earned its first victory over the season with a 1-0 decision over Centenary on Wednesday night in Shreveport. The 'Roos are now 1-2-1 overall and 1-0 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.
After a scoreless first half, Austin College got on the board early in the second half on a tally by Joey Alcocer in the 49th minute of action, and that would be the only goal the 'Roos would need as Ian Allison earned a shutout in his first career start in goal. Allison had five saves in the victory.
The 'Roos step back out of conference play on Friday when they travel to Richardson to take on the University of Texas-Dallas at 7:00 p.m.
