June's Career Day Helps 'Roos to Win at McMurry

The 'Roos are now 7-16 overall and 2-12 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

June knocked down 12-of-22 shots, including 2-of-4 from long range, and made 6-of-8 free throws to net his career-high scoring total, while Rennie drilled 8-of-13 three pointers and 10-of-16 shots overall to add 28. Getenet made 5-of-11 shots, including 4-of-8 from deep, on his way to 21 points while grabbing 13 rebounds. Austin College shot 52.5% from the field as a team and 56% from beyond the arc, making 14-of-25 triples as a team.
The 'Roos led 41-37 at the half and held off a late charge by McMurry in the closing minutes of the game to earn the win. Austin College outscored McMurry 15-to-9 from the free throw line and overcame 17 turnovers thanks to their hot shooting from long distance. Jordan Hudgins chipped in 11 rebounds and a game-high four assists for the 'Roos, while TJ Hilliard led McMurry with 23 points and Jalen Cherry had 11 points and 14 rebounds.
