Millsaps Uses Big Second Half to Top 'Roos

Kidus Getenet came off the bench to score 20 points to pace the 'Roos, hitting 5-of-14 shots from the floor and 8-of-11 free throws, and Jackson Rennie had 15 points for the second straight game, hitting 3-of-9 from beyond the arc, as the only other Austin College player to reach double figures in the scoring column. The 'Roos hit just 29.7% from the field, and Millsaps outscored Austin College 25-to-12 from the free throw line in the game.
Austin College limited Millsaps to 1-of-15 shooting from three point range, but the Majors earned 20 more free throw attempts in the game and shot 42.9% from the floor overall to help them come from behind and pull away down the stretch. The Majors shot 62.5% from the field after halftime, while the 'Roos made just 25% from the fioor and 20% from long range in the second half. Cameron Lumar led Millsaps with 16 points and Drew Roth and Devin Harris chipped in 10 points each. Ocie Berry and Jordan Hudgins each grabbed seven rebounds for the 'Roos, while Ethan Pearce handed out a team-best four assists.
Austin College is back on the road next Saturday, traveling to Arkansas to take on Lyon College.
