Hudgins Earns Academic All-District

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College men's basketball player Jordan Hudgins been selected as Academic All-District picks for his outstanding performances both athletically and academically.

The 2024 Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Hudgins, a sophomore forward from Wylie, was named Academic All-District on the strength of a 3.66 grade-point-average with a major in biology. The two-year starter for the 'Roos appeared in all 25 of the team's games this season, starting, while averaging 4.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists-per-game.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced April 16 (women) and April 17 (men).
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
